lacie usb speakers: how to control volume?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi folks,

I've got a pair of Lacie usb speakers. They seem to work, except
that I cannot control volume. Using alsamixer it gets stuck at 100%.

The problem exists for Ubuntu 8.10 as well as for the native 2.6.27.5
kernel on Debian (amd64). For testing I had disabled all other audio
drivers. The usb speakers were the default.

Of course I searched the net and the mailing lists. Problems with
snd-usb-audio were mentioned before, but without any solution.
On XP the speakers work out of the box, including volume control.

Any ideas would be highly appreciated.

Regards

Harri
