I have Generic 10de NVIDIA MCP78 HDMI and want to turn on digital audio over the HDMI. I ran alsamixer and unmuted IEC958. I then did aplay wavefile.wav I heard no audio. Is there something else I need to do? all other items are unmuted volume is good levels.
