Looking to get a USB audio device

I'm having issues with the front-panel connectors on my computer, so
I'm looking to get a USB audio device. I wanted to make sure I got one
that works, though.

I'm running Gentoo, and I have no qualms about updating ALSA or my
kernel into "unstable" to get things working if necessary.

I found this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829128004
It's inexpensive and exactly what I need. It uses the CM108 chipset,
is that compatible with recent ALSA versions?

Thanks,
Branan
