Hi,
First off, a big thanks to James Courtier-Dutton - I had given up on using my card (E-mu 1820) but installed Linux (Ubuntu 8.04) again this summer only to notice that there was now support!
I think I've just about got my head around controlling Jack, alsamixer and Ardour (at least the basics) but I can't quite figure it out.
My setup in Jack is with hw:0,2 as input and hw:0,1 as output, which gives me 16 capture channels and 2 playback channels. Using alsamixer I set the DSP0 - 7 channels to Audiodock inputs MIC A, MIC B, ADC1-3 etc and this works - I can record these channels in Ardour if I want.
However, my output in plugged in Audiodock port DAC4 (described as "Main Out" on the dock and despite routing DAC4 to DSP0 and DSP1, I can't hear anything. Whatever I connect to the output ports in Jack makes no difference...
If anyone has any ideas then I will be very grateful,
Thanks
John
