Same here.  My card has some bleed into the mic port so I do get something regardless.  I am able to set PCM record from aumix.  No ideal how to do it in alsamixer, it doesn't seem to be an option.  I've only been able to set it from the gui of aumix.  On Vol for some reason, and I need to set the PCM out level to 50% for the proper gain (ATIIXP).
