Using REAR-Out for FRONT

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hey folks,

I have a Creative Soundblaster 5.1 with many cool stuff, I'm dont using ;D.
But
now my front out is broken and I wondered if I could use instead any of
the
other out channels for it before I buy a new card with much more stuff I
will
not use. In a forum someone told me that this should be possible and I have
to
route the front to rear out, something like that. He guessed also that it
has
to do with ttables and gave me a link to a wiki-tutorial for .asoundrc from
the
alsa-project hp. I read this wiki, and have to assume, I dont really get
how to
solve my problem with this. In my understanding this is at least not the
"normal"
propose for ttables are used for.
To get this clear, I dont want Sourround Sound or anything like that, I
only want
got old stereo but over the REAR-Out.
Can anybody help me? I'm dyin without sound.
