Hello all, Just wondering if there is any trick to getting HDMI audio working on the Intel g35 chipset. The board is an Asus p5e-vm hdmi. I can see the hdmi device with aplay -l and aplay -D plughw:0,3 soundcheck.wav (a two channel wav) only outputs on the left channel. Using mplayer, -ac hwac3 for ac3 passthru emites a crapid popping sound and -ac a52 -channels 6 again output on the left channel only.
