Hi list, I'm trying to find out whether there's a straight forward way to use amixer for mute/unmute master/pcm/everything in such a way that the possibly needed script works on many different machines with any installed Alsa output devices. Is there a simple way or do I need to write a script which handles all possibilities regarding device names and other possible differences?
