I used the nspluginwrapper program to install the flash player to make it work in the 64-bit environment. Flash media does play in firefox but there is no sound...hence this post. In fact the "preloading" error message appears only when I load a web page that has a flash object. I suspected the 32-bit/64-bit discrepancy was the problem, and had been asking for help in other forums but couldn't get a solution -- http://forum.mandriva.com/viewtopic.php?p=476192#476192 So the next question is, how do I compile alsa-oss-1.0.15 as a 32-bit shared object on my x86_64 system? There is no README in the source directory. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
