This is a question for XDTV I'm afraid, not ALSA. If there's anyone here who 
knows, fine obviously, but you stand a better change asking them -- I for 
one haven't a clue what XDTV is or how it it's configured.

If you can enter an alsa device somewhere, make it "default:<index>" instead 
of just "default".
