Hello List, I'm looking for suggestions for a sound card that will support the alsa a52 plugin properly. I currently have a sound blaster Live! with the emu10k1 chip. For some reason, this card doesn't want to work properly with the a52 plugin. The audio through this plugin is very choppy. Normal strero and a52/ac3 passthrough works just fine. I know that Johannes Bauer has found success with the C-Media CMI8738 chip with the use of the a52 plugin. I'm hoping someone knows of a pci card which has the above chip (or similar).
