"aplay -L" shows no available PCM devices

My alsa is running on arm9 board and kernel 2.6.18.
Here is the card info:
# cat proc/asound/cards
0 [S3C24XX ]: S3C24XX - S3C24XX
Samsung S3C24XX
# cat proc/asound/devices
0: [ 0] : control
1: : sequencer
16: [ 0- 0]: digital audio playback
24: [ 0- 0]: digital audio capture
33: : timer

"aplay -L" displayed as follows:
# aplay -L
null
Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture)

There's no available pcm devices ,is it that right?
However,I could playback well using "#aplay 1.wav",but i got a error when i used mplay with "mplayer -ao alsa 1.wav".The error log is as follows:

/ # mplayer -ao alsa 1.wav
MPlayer 1.0rc2-3.4.1 (C) 2000-2007 MPlayer Team
CPU: ARM
Playing 1.wav.
Audio file file format detected.

What shall i do to solve these problems?
Any help would be much appreciated!
