Okay, I have a custom 2.6.23.8 kernel with sound enabled,
but alsa disabled (see below). I have build all of alsa from source using aabuild And still I get (the same) errors. Any hints? How can I tell
if the firmware got installed? Does this card need firmware? I see fw files….. [root@qa5 ~]# ls -l
