Osprey 440 - Audio Input with full of Noise

Hello All ,
    This is for your Info and a Help request too
    I use a Osprey 440 card on IBM X3650 with FC 7 and with VLC I get feeble audio with Lots of Noise ......
    May find some details .. anybody could help me .... I am ready to Volunteer for any test on FC 6 / Fc 7 / SuSe 10.1 / 10.3 with this card .
    I have this with me for another 5 - 7 days . I can help with whatever tests possible and in way that I can contribute


    H/w : IBM X 3650
    Card : OSPREY 440

Downloaded the    osprey-bbbedbfb2be0.tar.gz from (http://linuxtv.org/hg/~tap/osprey/archive/tip.tar.gz)
untared it and did  make all and make install

Did make menuconfig  in Kernel Source build Directory to verify ALSA is enable for bt878x ..

Rebooted the machine audio was not recognised ...
 modprobe -r snd-bt87x; modprobe snd-bt87x load_all=1

Trying to grab video and audio by VLC ... video has no issues but Audio is totally distorted and with full disturbances
Do i need to modify something in your code for adding gpio ???
