Hi, I'm a proud audio experimenter trying to make the switch to linux and ALSA/JACK. I had fun and learned a whole lot while setting up my Debian Etch install, but I've hit a wall when is comes to ALSA. First, my HWspecs; G3 Powerbook 'pismo' 500ghz/1GB Layla24 pcmcia sound device I've tried following the instructions on many websites and find some common ground between them, but I have failed in several ways. I hope to be able to get support for my device without recompiling my kernel or ALSA. Here is the pertinent info from the shell: # lspci 0000:00:0b.0 Host bridge: Apple Computer Inc.
