You didn't say that you're using the latest driver version, so please download the alsa-driver-1.0.15rcX package from <http://www.alsa-project.org/>, unpack it, go into the alsa-driver-1.0.5rcX directory, run "./configure", run "make", then, as root, run "make install-modules". (This requires that the kernel source or at least the kernel headers package of your distribution is installed.)
