Hello. First of all I'd like to say hello, because i'm new to the list, and to be honest, to ALSA also. Recently I've bought a USB MIDI interface with 2 inputs and 2 outputs. I'd like to use it in Linux, but something goes wrong with drivers. They load, but with problems, and I can't see any MIDI device in my system. I use Debian 2.6.18 kernel, and ALSA 1.0.13. when I plug the interface in, I see this: #usb1-2: new low speed usb device using ohci_hcd and address 4 usb1-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice unknown device speed 1 snd-usb-audio: probe of 1-2:1.0 failed with error -5 unknown device speed 1 sbd-usb-audio: probe of 1-2:1.1 failed with error -5 usbcore: registered new driver snd-usb-audio "$ aconnect -o" says that there is no /dev/snd/seq device. qjackctl says the same thing. What do I need to do to make the interface work? regards Maciek ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
