Hi, I ran into the problem, that my newly installed openSUSE 10.2 does not play any sounds over the speakers but headphones work fine. I installed alsa via packet-management, the installed version is 1.0.13-22. My laptop is a fairly new XPS M2010. Googeling brought up some solutions, where the not-working jack-sense could be the problem and that it should be disabled via the KDE mixer KMix oder the alsamixer. But both mixers are missing the jack-sense switches. All channels are activated in KMix, no sliders are hidden. What am I missing? How can I access the switches for jack-sense and disable jack-sense?
