force_ac97 is very bad option.  This should be a very last thing after
confirming that you have really AC97 codec chip on your machine.

You have to give port option.

0x370 isn't the only value that opl3sa chip accepts.

Check the corresponding directory of /sys/bus/pnp/*.

Also, you should try ALSA 1.0.14 release instead of the drivers in
your old kernel.
