Hello, I have an asrock motherboard for which mpu401 doesn't want to work. I have the modules loaded correctly(I think), everything shows ok in /proc/interrupts and /proc/ioports (i.e.: it uses the BIOS settings for the mpu401) but once an application tries to wite to the port I am getting this logged: [303685.446858] cmd: 0x3f failed at 0x300 (status = 0x80, data = 0x66) The bios settings for the mpu401 are irq 0x300 dma 5. $ cat /proc/interrupts /proc/ioports |grep MPU 5: 334 IO-APIC-edge MPU401 UART 0300-0301 : MPU401 UART it gets detected just fine. I guess it has to do with buggy ACPI and/or HW-CODEC implementation? I saw a patch on an older post for a SiS7012 (though not CMI* based) so I though maybe there's something I can hack to get it to work.
