The X-Fi line from Creative is not supported by Alsa as Creative willnot release specifications.  So do not buy the X-Fi for use underLinux.  The others are probably generic cards. More important than thename of the card is the audio chip on the card.  That will determinewhether the card is supported by an alsa driver. I tried to look at the website to see if I could find any of the chips,but my page translation program didn't work well for some reason.
