I have a Creative PCI 512 (CT4790) running under a 2.6 kernel and Alsa 1.0.12rc1. I can capture sound using the microphone with no problem, but I find that the microphone input only plays back on the speakers and not over headphones. I've tried several different sets of headphones so I know it's an issue with the card or the way I have it configured.
