i don´t have the card here right now, but i try to explain:

open up alsamixer, find the "slider" input, and there should be 3 
choices by pressing the "arrow-up/down", the 'input1' is analog in, the 
'input2' is spdif in and the 3. is coled 'mic'.
(but i am not sure now if the order i gave is allright, so just give 
some audio through the spdif into the card, than switching  between 1 
and 2  you should get it!)

in alsamixer you can choose pressing 'alt+tab' between 'capture', 
'playback' and 'all'.
