Hello ALSA users,
I just installed a SB Live! 24-bit card (SB0410) into a Dell Server 1950 running Redhat Enterprise Linux ES, with kernel 2.6.9. For CA0106 support, I upgraded ALSA from 1.0.6 to 1.0.13 by compiling the sources for the drivers, libraries and utilities.
I am able to hear live sound at a good volume when I plug my iPod into the line-in port. If I record that, then play it back (using arecord and aplay), the volume during playback is much lower (maybe about half as loud?) than while I was hearing it live during recording.
I have the line in capture channel at 100%.
I have the mic, phone and aux capture channels muted.
I have all the digital playback channels (IEC958) muted.
I have the volume at 100% for all my analog playback channels.
I have the volume at 100% for capture feedback.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to increase the playback volume?
