Hi All. I recently bought an US Robotics usb phone. The name of the phone is "USB Internet Mini Phone" and the model is 9602. When I plug the phone to my notebook, the usb audio module is loaded correctly and everything lets you think it works because you can find it in the "audio cards" list in skype (for example). But it doesn't work! If you try to play a sound using asound, the result is: [root@bellatrix:~]# aplay -D hw:1,0 /usr/share/sounds/pop.wav Playing WAVE '/usr/share/sounds/pop.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 44100 Hz, Mono aplay: set_params:901: Channels count not available I really like to use that phone: can someone help me? Thank in advance for all your answers. -- Michele Bonera www.bonera.biz Useful informations: -------------------- Notebook: ASUS M6842NELH Distribution: Kubuntu Dapper 6.06.1 Kernel: 2.6.15-27-386 [root@bellatrix:~]# cat /proc/asound/cards 0 [I82801DBICH4 ]: ICH4 - Intel 82801DB-ICH4 Intel 82801DB-ICH4 with STAC9750,51 at 0xffaff800, irq 4 1 [Phone ]: USB-Audio - USB Phone USB Phone at usb-0000:00:1d.0-1, full speed [root@bellatrix:~]# cat /proc/asound/devices 20: [0- 4]: digital audio playback 27: [0- 3]: digital audio capture 26: [0- 2]: digital audio capture 25: [0- 1]: digital audio capture 16: [0- 0]: digital audio playback 24: [0- 0]: digital audio capture 0: [0- 0]: ctl 33: : timer 48: [1- 0]: digital audio playback 56: [1- 0]: digital audio capture 32: [1- 0]: ctl [root@bellatrix:~]# cat /proc/asound/card1/pcm0c/info card: 1 device: 0 subdevice: 0 stream: CAPTURE id: USB Audio name: USB Audio subname: subdevice #0 class: 0 subclass: 0 subdevices_count: 1 subdevices_avail: 1 [root@bellatrix:~]# cat /proc/asound/card1/pcm0p/info card: 1 device: 0 subdevice: 0 stream: PLAYBACK id: USB Audio name: USB Audio subname: subdevice #0 class: 0 subclass: 0 subdevices_count: 1 subdevices_avail: 1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
