My codec info:

Codec: Analog Devices AD1988
Address: 0
Vendor Id: 0x11d41988
Subsystem Id: 0x104381e1
Revision Id: 0x100400

We have the same codec at least, but I have a Asus P5B-V motherboard and
I cannot get any sound out of the right channel. Did you do anything
special to get sound in both left and right channel? I will try the
line-in when I get home.

I have opened a bug for my problem here:
https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=2765

There seems to be several problems with this codec...
