Ok, good to know. BTW, beside all my attempts, I've not been able to 
record anything audible from the mic entry of the CA0106. I've tried all 
kind of kernels (including the latest 2.6.19.1) and all kind of ALSA 
versions (up to 1.0.13), with all the combinations of alsamixer settings 
I could think of with no luck....
