Hi, I'm having trouble getting a C-Media USB soundcard to work on a Linksys NSLU2 device. All modules are loaded, aplay -l lists the device. However, when trying to play a wav file using aplay, I get the following: # aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Noise.wav Playing WAVE '/usr/share/sounds/alsa/Noise.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 48000 Hz, Mono Floating point exception speaker-test only works if I specify a non-default (i.e. anything else than 44100 or 48000, e.g. 47999)?! I have currently no asound.conf or .asoundrc. Can anyone please point me in the right direction to find out the cause of this? The device does work on Gentoo on a x86 box, so I expect this to be somewhere in the 'driver on mips' area. But maybe it's solvable with a clever asound.conf? Thanks! //Ernst Some output: # lsusb Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0d8c:000c C-Media Electronics, Inc.
