Hello, I am using the VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller. The problem is, the headphones socket does not work .. it does on windows tho, so it's not hardware related. I am using 2.6.18 (debian stock kernel) and the appropiate modules are loaded .. in addition, its a notebook, and the internal speakers work fine .. but once I put the cable of the headphones in, the sound stops working. Yes I checked alsamixer settings and stuff .. so it must be driver related. Any further confirmation would be appreciated.
