Okay. But since the OP did not mention a specific sound card I assumed that you meant that mixing didn't work until 1.0.9 ... and that it did on 1.0.9 and later. I guess the part that I don't get is why the card would make a difference ... doesn't alsa just take multiple inputs from the sound port and mix them and then output to the card?
