Re: Is there a good method for bootstrapping the global config settings without managing the entire dse.ldif?

Sorry that I wasn't clear.

I meant instance creation time.

So, what I want to do is:
1. Put the items that I want to add/override to the main configuration into local_dse.ldif (or something)
2. Tell dscreate to use that file when creating the new instance as the additional 'default' configuration items

I'll take a look at the ticket and see if it makes sense to jump in there.

Thanks,

Trevor

What do you mean by "build" time? do you mean just after dscreate is run? Or package compile time?

We have just started a discussion about this related to containers in fact about how to perform stateful configuration application so maybe this is relevant to you?

I think though, that there is going to be some new focus on "configuration" in the coming months so if you have some use cases, please let us know.
