If the cert and key are in PEM format, use openssl to create a PKCS12 (.p12) file. Then use pk12util to import the certificate into a NSS certificate database (cert9.db,key4.db).

I think I found my problem. The server does not like the certificate because it was not generated inside fedora389 and it does not hold the key.
300 Dollars wasted...
Before I called this one the quits... Is there a way to import a key and cert generated at the OS level and not inside Fedora389?
