You do not install centos7 389 1.4.x and cockpit. Because you might gcclib upgrade and gcc module upgrade. So You can install at rhel8 or coming forward centos 8(?).

I was told that v1.4.x is targeted for RHEL 8 and CentOS 8 is not yet released.  See https://wiki.centos.org/About/Building_8

The latest package versions in the CentOS/EPEL 7 repos is 389-ds-base-1.3.8.4 and 389-ds-1.2.2

And I am extremely confuzzled about 389-console vs 389-ds-console vs cockpit-ui

Are there any clues available ?
