The intent is so that "new configurations" are automatically added, in memory only. It allows background updates (from values that we think are safe). We have been wanting to make upgrades much more seamless, and where each update brings you new and better server behaviours. It means that if you do a ldap search on cn=config, you can diff that against your old version to "see what changes" both in terms of adding attributes, but also their values that change. In general, we have been pushing for "simple but correct" by default, so hopefuly, there is less configuration parameters being added too. I hope this helps you find the answers you are after. > thank you > Isabella > _______________________________________________ > 389-users mailing list -- 389-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe send an email to > 389-users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Fedora Code of Conduct: https://getfedora.org/code-of-conduct.html > List Guidelines: > https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines > List Archives: > https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/389-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/message/OOUU2NOA3S22345KAZO6SBHBODOIUHMC/ -- Sincerely, William _______________________________________________ 389-users mailing list -- 389-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to 389-users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://getfedora.org/code-of-conduct.html List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/389-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/message/IPQT5KHF2FAXOZN6LLCVCANDG3JKXYDE/
