Hi,

In this version, we have done a huge amount of work for "on upgrade"
configuration. The intent is so that "new configurations" are
automatically added, in memory only. It allows background updates (from
values that we think are safe). We have been wanting to make upgrades
much more seamless, and where each update brings you new and better
server behaviours.

It means that if you do a ldap search on cn=config, you can diff that
against your old version to "see what changes" both in terms of adding
attributes, but also their values that change.

In general, we have been pushing for "simple but correct" by default,
so hopefuly, there is less configuration parameters being added too.

I hope this helps you find the answers you are after.
