Yes, they're the java console.  IIRC, you do need them installed on the server because the GUI downloads those components in order to provide version-matched consoles for the servers.  Enable the testing repo to install them.

I see that "nkinder" replied to me on that ticket, but I didn't get the email.  Guess I'll need to go give karma to the packages. :)
