389 Directory Password Synchronization --- AD Issues -- Peer reports incompatible or unsupported protocol

The versions in used are the following:

389-ds-base                       1.3.2.16-0ubuntu1 

389 Directory Password Synchronization 1.1.5

Issue as shown below:

[04/Mar/2015:16:47:09 -0800] conn=34 op=-1 fd=64 closed - Peer reports incompatible or unsupported protocol version.
[04/Mar/2015:17:55:26 -0800] conn=35 fd=64 slot=64 SSL connection from AD.server to ldap.server
[04/Mar/2015:17:55:26 -0800] conn=35 op=-1 fd=64 closed - Peer reports incompatible or unsupported protocol version.

WinSync Password Config

Host Name ldap.server

Port Number 636

User Name uid=Master,cn=config

Password <password>

Cert Token <content from pin.txt>

Search Base cn=Users,dc=ldap,dc=server

 

I got SSL active on DS "Enable SSL for this Server" and "Use SSL in Console" with "Allow Client Authentication"

has anybody came across this issue? any idea which might it be?
