I'd suggest starting with http://www.padl.com/~lukeh/rfc2307bis.txt to get the schema. In IPA we used the automount* attributes and objectclasses (there is also a schema that uses nis*). There is some minimal documentation at https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Storage_Administration_Guide/s2-nfs-config-autofs-LDAP.html The autofs.master man page has a section on ldap.
