389 DS and Samba Integration

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Dear,

Here is my machine configuration are listed down:-

1. Operating System     -    CentOS 6.4
2. 389 Directory Server  -    Kolab-ldap-3.0-1
3. Samba ( PDC )          -   Samba-3.6.9-151.el6

I have followed documentation which is given http://directory.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Howto:Samba here. I have successfully implemented each and every steps without any error.

Problem occurred when I was trying to add the Windows machine into the samba domain. Windows client was added into the domain successfully but my problem is that it went into wrong DIT.

Because my smb.conf was defined like this,

        security = user
        ldap password sync = Yes
        passdb backend = ldapsam:ldap://intra.fastudios.in
ldap admin dn = cn=Directory Manager
        ldap suffix = dc=intra,dc=fastudios,dc=in
        ldap user suffix  = ou=People
        ldap machine suffix  = ou=Computers
        ldap group suffix  ou=Groups
        ldap ssl = no

As per above configuration, machine suffix should be "Computers" but in my case it is like this,

# TEST$, intra.fastudios.in
dn: uid=TEST$,dc=intra,dc=fastudios,dc=in
uid: TEST$
sambaSID: S-1-5-21-4264788521-1797155820-2484058056-101002
objectClass: sambaSamAccount
objectClass: account
objectClass: top
objectClass: posixAccount
displayName: TEST$
sambaAcctFlags: [W          ]
sambaDomainName: fastudios
sambaPrimaryGroupSID: S-1-5-21-4264788521-1797155820-2484058056-515
cn: TEST
uidNumber: 50001
gidNumber: 2515
homeDirectory: /dev/null
loginShell: /bin/false
description:: V2luZG93cyA3IA==
sambaNTPassword: 39E8564EA7F7F511E1C5DCB7AFAF4BCA
sambaPwdLastSet: 1371029288

Am I missing any key configuration for above problem. If so then please tell me, it would be very helpful for me.

Thanks
