Not sure what you mean by "hook back into the central admin server"
but if you want to use the console to manage your servers you must
use setup-ds-admin.pl. setup-ds.pl is only used for servers that
you do not want to be managed by console/admin server.

Today when I install the newest 389 directory server on the
other machine which installed centos 5.3 i386 .
Then it displayed the following error message:
