Indeed:

[Mon Mar 23 16:24:22 2009] [crit] Apache is running a threaded MPM,
but your PHP Module is not compiled to be threadsafe.  You need to
recompile PHP.
Pre-configuration failed

I tried removing PHP and unfortunately it still doesn't work.  Running
httpd.worker from the command line produces this:

[root at newldap6 ~]# /usr/sbin/httpd.worker -k start -f
/etc/dirsrv/admin-serv/httpd.conf
Segmentation fault

Could this be because of the 64 bit OS?
