[389-users] Administration server with redundancy

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all.

I'm using Fedora Directory Server 1.0.4 in a multi-master configuration since a few years by now.

The first instance was created on server1.

The second instance was createad on server2 and registered with the administration server on server1.

The userRoot and NetscapeRoot is replicated between the servers.

Recently, server1 had a crash, and the directory server was unable to start.

I was able to start the admin server but I was not able to login to the console using the admin server on server1.

I was able to start the admin server and login to the console using the admin server on server2, but I was not able to see the directory server instances.

What can I do to ensure that if server 1 goes completely down, I can manage server2 directory using the console and the server 2 administration server?

That is, is it possible to register the directory server instances on both administration servers?

Cheers.
