Sure I can give it a go. I am running fedora directory server inside a VMware host. It works well. I think the main bullet point of Virtualization is that reasourse hungry processes are not going to function well in any emulated environment. E.G. if your server is pegged 100% CPU with high disk IO it is going to be even worse on a machine with 3-4 other systems. I think it is ideal for emulation. Especially small ones. I think somewhere on the internet there is a vmware FDS guest you can just load up and play with.
